G-Technology G-DRIVE Mini 750 GB HDD Review

 

One of the things that rarely seen on the legal assessment is an article about the product, which is primarily designed for Apple computer. Despite rapid growth, it is still a relatively small market and the many products we are sent in the genre. We don't have exactly a plethora of bench test Mac either. Still, we like to give our readers a variety of content, when we introduced the opportunity, and one such opportunity came on our doorstep recently. Company G-Technology (or G-tech referred to) is not sound familiar, but its parent company, Hitachi is known throughout the world. They have a relatively large number of external storage products, which are aimed at all towards Mac users, but are equally at home connected to the PC. Today we'll have a look at the G-DRIVE mini 750 GB external disk.

Immediately they drive, is a polished aluminum finish, the sleek design, and perforated external similarity with the Mac for desktop computer. If you own an Apple system about your hardware and accessories, which correspond to the system, it is much better than this. Right now, you can pick up to 750 GB version for about $ 150, but with the prices of the hard disk on the rise with recent natural disasters in several key Asian countries, it is obliged to fluctuate, and probably not for the better. 500 GB version will run cheaper about 20 dollars, and the other $ 20 for 250 GB more seems to be a mere pittance.

** Note: G-DRIVE mini is powered when 6 or 9-pin FireWire port bus. USB ports on some computers does not have enough power to operate reliably, the G-DRIVE mini systems greater than 320 GB. Optional power supply is available for use in the G-DRIVE mini, is if your system does not have a FireWire port or the USB port does not provide enough energy.

In the field, we found a nice artificial leather case, CD that contains documentation and drivers, FireWire 800, 400, and USB 2.0 and a little card, pointing users to the Web address should they intend to use this drive to the window, because by default, the drive is formatted for mac (HFS + Journaled). There is no power cable included, because the drive is powered through USB or FireWire, although some PC may lack the juice to make it an optional AC adapter, which you can buy.
